Ever wonder why Gwen Stefani’s lips and lipsticks are always popping? Oh well, she use to be a make up artist at a mall in Anaheim, California. Now she is the new Global brand ambassador for Revlon joining the list with Ciara, Halle Berry and Olivia Wilde. Oh my, Gwen is super, super excited about this new gig.
She recalled her experience as a make up artist “I was a makeup artist when I was in my early twenties at the mall, they never trained me,” Stefani told WWD. “I worked behind the counter there for Borghese, which nobody bought because it was expensive, and Ultima II, which I think is actually owned by Revlon… I’d be like, ‘Let me put some makeup on you, let me show you what you could look like.’ I just remember making people feel so much joy and so inspired and so full of confidence, and that’s what makeup can do.”
“Gwen will clearly appeal to makeup enthusiasts,” Benjamin Karsch, Revlon’s chief marketing officer said to WWD. “She’s known far and wide for her red lips, so that’s definitely part of the attractiveness as a brand ambassador for Revlon, but that’s really combined with who she is as a person and also her love story.”
Just last year, She launched her own make up collection of lipstick, she also own line of perfumes under the Harajuku label. Gwen’s signature lipsyick color is red, and she sure looks popping when rocking them.
Gwen has come far, from a make up artist to a music artist and now Global Ambassador to one of the biggest cosmetics brand. We now wonder what else is in store for Gwen.
